Colon Cancer Screening
An important wellness role of gastroenterology is
to provide colon cancer screenings. Colorectal Cancer is the second
leading cause
of cancer deaths in both men and women in the U.S. Yet if discovered
early, it can be up to 90% curable.

and Medicare. Check with your individual plan to find out if colon

Ninety percent of colorectal cancer deaths could
be avoided if people would get tested , a national expert on the
disease said
Tuesday in Little Rock. "With colorectal cancer screenings — even
if cancer is found — nine out of 10 people will be alive in five years," said
Dr.Durado Brooks, director of prostate and colorectal cancer at the American
Cancer
Society National Office.
